Mobile Application — Location Data
The Geo-CX mobile application ("App") may collect precise location data (GPS coordinates) from your device when this feature is enabled for your assigned project. Location data collection works as follows:
- What we collect: Precise GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) and geofencing status (whether you are inside or outside your assigned work area).
- When we collect it: Location data is collected only when you are clocked in to a project that has geolocation enabled. When you are clocked out or assigned to a project without geolocation, no location data is collected.
- Background access: While you are clocked in to a geolocation-enabled project, the App collects location data in the background (even when the App is not in the foreground) to verify that you remain within your assigned work area. Background collection stops when you clock out.
- Purpose: Location data is used to verify attendance within designated work areas (geofencing) and to support time and attendance records.
- Sharing: Location data is transmitted to Geo-CX servers and is accessible to your employer's authorized administrators. We do not sell or share location data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Your California Privacy Rights
California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits users of our Website that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please contact us.
It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you by e-mail and/or through a notice on the Website home page.
Data Security
We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.
