Managing Your Time Off Requests

Overview

After you submit a time off request, you can track its status, read your manager's response, and update it if needed — all from the Time Off screen.

This article covers how to navigate your requests, read manager feedback, and make changes to a pending request.

To submit a new request, see → How to Request Time Off.

Your Request List

From the sidebar, tap Time Off to open your request list. Three tabs organize your requests by status:

TabWhat it shows
PendingRequests waiting for your manager's review — this is the default tab
ApprovedRequests your manager has approved
RejectedRequests your manager has denied

Each card shows the start and end dates of the request. Tap View on any card to see the full details.

Viewing Request Details

Tapping View on a card opens a details popup showing:

FieldWhat it shows
Start Date / End DateThe dates you requested
ReasonThe reason you selected when submitting
CommentThe comment you wrote when submitting
Manager CommentFeedback from your manager — only visible after they have approved or denied the request

Manager comments appear only after a decision is made. If your request is still pending, the manager comment section will not be visible yet. Check back after you receive a notification.

Updating a Pending Request

If your request has not yet been reviewed, you can update it — change the dates, reason, or comment before your manager acts on it.

01

Find the request on the Pending tab

Tap Time Off from the sidebar. The Pending tab opens by default.

02

Tap Update

Each pending request card has an Update button. Tap it to open the request form pre-filled with your original submission.

  • If the Update button is not visible, the 48-hour edit window has passed — see below.
03

Make your changes

Adjust the dates, reason, or comment as needed. The same rules apply as when submitting — dates must be in the future and all fields are required.

04

Tap Update

Your changes are saved and your manager receives a new notification to review the updated request.

The 48-Hour Edit Window

You can update a pending request only within 48 hours of submitting it. After that window closes, the Update button disappears.

If you need to change a request after 48 hours and it has not yet been reviewed, submit a new request instead. See → How to Request Time Off.

This applies to pending requests only. Approved and rejected requests cannot be updated regardless of timing.

Things to Know

You receive a notification when your manager decides. When your request is approved or denied, the app sends you a push notification. Open it to go directly to the request and read any comments your manager left.

Rejected requests cannot be resubmitted. If your request was denied, you cannot resubmit it. Create a new request with corrected dates or details if needed. See → How to Request Time Off.

Approved and rejected requests are read-only. Once your manager has taken action, the request is locked. Only pending requests within the 48-hour window can be changed.
